Welcome to Harrogate Brigantes

Inner Wheel

History

Harrogate Brigantes Inner Wheel was founded in 1981 by 18 wives of Rotarians and has developed into a thriving club. It is an active and friendly group that currently has 39 members.

Today

Evening dinner meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month (except August and December) at The Academy Leisure Club, Oakdale Close, Oakdale Lane, Harrogate.

Our activities include raising funds for local and international charities through a range of events such as Fashion shows, Bridge Competitions, Charity Lunches, Burns suppers and Wine tasting.

Knitted blankets, teddy bears and toy filled shoeboxes are sent for children overseas. Local support includes the Women’s Refuge ,Young Carers and Meals on Wheels.

The objects of Inner Wheel are to promote true friendship, to encourage the ideals of personal service and to foster International understanding
